It's not the right home for trading commodities, manufacturing, or regulated finance.

Limits to know about
- The freelance permit allows a single activity name — no general trading or multi-activity bundling.
- Direct retail to UAE customers needs a separate dual licence or distributor.
- Some banks are slower with SHAMS company accounts than with DMCC or DIFC — Wio and Mashreq Neo are usually fastest.
- SHAMS doesn't offer industrial workshop space — you'd need to rent separately.

SHAMS is a fully recognised UAE free zone authority licensed by Sharjah Government. Companies issue VAT invoices, hire employees, sponsor families, and qualify for the same free zone tax framework as DMCC or IFZA.
What's the catch with the low price?
No catch — but the office is virtual, the address is in Sharjah (not Dubai), and the brand is less recognised internationally than DMCC or ADGM. For solo creators those trade-offs rarely matter.
